knowingly or unknowingly repeat ideas that other artists
have tackled. Jeff Wall says he didn’t know about Gordon
Parks’ photos inspired by Invisible Man for example…

Choose a painter that has influenced Wall and then find a work by that painter that resonates with you. Make a photographic translation of that painting. Write one paragraph explaining what prompted your choice. Due Tuesday. Submit in Dropbox and post to blog.
*ALTERNATIVE TO THIS ASSIGNMENT, find a painting by one of the painters who Wall refers to, and find at least TEN photographs (amateur, journalistic, artistic, professional-all of the above) on the internet that bear an uncanny resemblance to the painting. Write a paragraph about your findings and post all to your blog.
