The story happened more than 40 years back around 1970. My Grandfather that I was named after him. He was in Ministry of Education director and manager in the northern area of Saudi Arabia. One day while he was traveling and coming back to the capital city Riyadh with his brother and sister. He got a motor vehicle accident hit by a truck between two cities that was not fully occupied and prepared for emergent situations. And there are no proper emergent medical service. At that moment He saved his sister and his brother from a burning car.His sister had some bruises and his brother too. However he was moving and trying to ask for help for his family. They all reach the hospital. however six hours later he passed away due to internal bleeding. After this unfortunate story I promised myself to be a doctor and to help who are in need in those situations.- Another story happened in 2013 In my third year of medical school my grandmother was sick at that time due to respiratory infection. However suddenly she started to have high fever altered level of consciousness at home. At this time we rush her to emergency department. she was having pneumonia and she is underlying sepsis? Emergent physician consultant was trying to figure out and to relieve her tachypnea until their plan to intubate her. And then did a proper care and successful intubation was made. and then she was in ICU and I saw the environment in Emergency and how it needs team work proper communication.
