Carl Friedrich Gauss, known as the Prince of Mathematics and Germany’s greatest Mathematician, was solving mathematical problems at an early age. During your research for this Discussion Board forum you will read how, at age three, he corrected his father when the elder was figuring out a payroll problem. There was also the famous incident in primary school, when his teacher gave him the challenge to add the integers, 1 to 100, progressively. Within a few minutes, he had an answer by using pairwise addition. And of course, you have already discovered he is responsible for the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra.
