“MISSION STATEMENT” DCHS provides a catholic experience of educational sharing which promotes , protects, and nurtures the dignity of each person while fostering a communal commitment of love and service to all of God’s people.
how has the experience affected me? well i did two different kind of service
one was for funds raised for childhood cancer research..for this little girl Alex which i went for about 5 hours and help out with other volunteers… it was heart breaking seeing a 4 year old go through so much…and wonder why … and how people get together to help which its nice…and praying that she will be ok…it was a long day we also walked around the pARK… RAISED money…
second service…was i volunteered boys and girls club… that was fun….i watched small group of kids ages 4 to 6..they played basketball… when they scored i cheer them and told them when they get famous to remember me…honestly i enjoyed helping out….
during this year experience being involved with children you learn that life hits all ages bad and good and that volunteering you learn how you feel about life and how lucky you are…etc……
